Farming has changed. Many people look back on the “good old days” of farming and wonder why the change? Back in the 1950 and 60’s most Wabash County farms grew corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, and had cattle, hogs, and chickens – all on a single, small, family farm. And that family could make a respectable living for themselves and their families on this type farm.

Just like all other businesses in the United States, farming has had to adapt to keep up with the times and guarantee its survival. No longer is our market place Wabash County – it is the world – a true global market place. With increased global demand, increased world competition, and increased cost of doing business, the farmers of Wabash County have had to become more efficient in order to stay competitive.
